Rock the Vote
Tea Party: an extreme right wing party with a utopian, yet illogical sense of mind.
- wants to cut deficits by eliminating the Environmental Protection Agency and drastically scaling back the Board of Education (cut out education spending)
- Get rid of health reform policy
- Believe they are speaking on behalf of the 'unspoken' America
- It's the Christian way or no way.
Republican Party: a right wing party that idealizes laissez-faire
- Little or no government involvement
- tax cuts and tax rates be equal for everyone--including the wealthy
so if a single person is making more than $250,000 a year, pay equal taxes as a family of 4 making less than $20,000 a year.
(Keep the rich, rich and keep the poor, poor). - Corporate interest
Democrat Party: a left wing party that favors the middle-class and believes in helping the poor.
- Need some government involvement to outline limitations (i.e. minimum wage, EPA guidelines, etc)
- Tax cuts for the middle class and below, tax more for the rich
- those extra for the rich will help pay for those living in poverty, for health care reform, public education, fire fighters, social security, etc - middle-class interest.
- favor small business owners (back bone of our economy) - Focus is on creation of jobs, health care reform
We all need to go out there and vote on November 2nd. This directly affects who will maintain or win the seat in your local and state district, US House of Reps, US Senate.
*******MARYLAND RACE***********
Gov. O'Malley vs. former Governor Ehrlich
Ehrlich
- Wanted to increase tuition and cut back on spending in public education. He would've imposed a much higher increase on tuition
- Wanted to cut back on education funds
- believes diversity and multiculturalism is "bunk."
O'Malley
- Inherited a state deficit and
- job loss is down to 7.2% compared to the national average of 9.1%. Job creation has significantly increased under O'Malley administration
- Tuition freeze. Next year, it will go up a modest 3%
- Continual investment in education
- believes diversity and multiculturalism is our greatest strength

Plain as you can see
There she is.
Plain as you can see
Stomping sounds, Slamming doors
The wrath of her pride
The walls become thicker, the floors are fragile
What has become of us?
Once a herding group, now strangers as we see
We have become so vacant
But, there she is.
Plain as you can see
The skylight shows gray, the windows seem dull
The Souls are still waiting.
The rooms have become so cold.
I lay restless, and eventually fall asleep.
As I awaken, I feel beads of sweat falling
I see the light trying to fight.
Such vast space for a small house.
Yet, I smell coffee and hear crackles of laughter.
There she is.
Plain as you can see.
